So What Is An Archetype?
An archetype is basically viewed as a universally recognised character or situation, usually evolved from stories, myths, religions, dreams, or art. Something symbolic that actually surpasses time, history, culture, age, and gender. Think of the mother, father, hero, alchemist or magician, sage…
Carl Jung Archetypes
Carl Jung is widely known for introducing us to archetypes through Jungian psychology. He viewed archetypes as highly developed elements of the collective unconscious and conscious. But if we look back, archetypes stem back as far as Plato.
Since then the main carl jung brand archetypes have expanded and tend to be mostly categorized into 12 Main Brand Archetypes; examples of the brand archetypes are the magician, the caregiver, creator, explorer, hero, innocent, jester, lover, orphan, rebel, ruler, sage.
So what is a Brand Archetype?
A Brand Archetype is using archetypes to put human values, traits and personality, conscious or unconsciousness into your marketing. If you are a healer or coach who wants to stand out more authentically. Archetypal branding is probably the most effective way to achieve this.
Most marketing we see at the cinema or on T.V. uses archetypal marketing as a form of story-telling. Using your most dominant brand archetype in media marketing is a simple and easy way to quicken client connection and trust.
Effective archetypal branding and marketing triggers conscious and unconscious emotions and desires. That is how many big brands motivate people to buy certain products or services from them. For a spiritual business, it can help your client get a feel of the energy of the solutions you offer. Express the energy of your business’s values and ethics that help reduce potential client doubts.
Brand Personality Using Brand Archetypes
A brand personality can help healers, spiritual teachers, and coaches reach their ideal clients and soul clients more effectively. Especially if you are using an authentic archetypal strategy that represents your business offerings and you. The brand archetype helps to make your online business and marketing more personable. When you choose the right archetypal marketing blend you can connect with your soul tribe on a much deeper level more quickly.
The reality is with so many people trying to create careers in the well-being and spiritual community. And in some ways, more people trying to sell more products and services than people are buying. You need to find ways to shine amidst the noise of social media. In many ways, you have to be able to capture someone’s attention and make a great impression right away. So Spiritual and Archetypal Marketing is one of the most effective and authentic ways holistic and spiritual businesses can do this. A way to attract more of your ideal audience while reducing marketing costs.
Common Brand Archetypes
Examples of brand archetypes in the spiritual industry include
Brand Archetypes With Examples
The Alchemist Brand [Magician]
The magician brand archetype aka the alchemist brand archetype is all about transformation, miracles, and magic. You often offer a solution that helps someone move from the shadow into the light. The one thing I love about working with Alchemist brands is your marketing can be so enchanting and magical, and still feel authentic. Typical alchemists I work with are energy healers, spiritual healers, psychics, psychic artists, mediums, hypnotherapists, transformational coaches, and spiritual teachers.
The Creator Brand
The creator artist brand is the type of business that often uses creativity or creative expression through art, music, writing, and innovation to support healing or empowerment. The dominant creator brand archetype is a visionary who is often solution-led. Typical creators in the coaching and healing industry are art therapists, creative coaches, music therapists, play therapists, and psychic artists
The Sage Brand
The sage brand archetype is also known as the guru brand, the teacher brand is regarded as the truth seeker, the wise one. The very mature sage archetype is often either enlightened or awakened or has dedicated their life to the finding of universal wisdom archetypes in history are Aristotle, Plato, St Augustine, St Thomas Aquinas.
Modern sage archetypes Eckart Tolle, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Dalai Lama are regarded by some as true masters. The sage is often a spiritual teacher who has dedicated their life to contemplation, meditation, or learning. Spiritual teachers, meditation teachers, spiritual writers, and spiritual authors who help expand our knowledge or consciousness. So they can also be the spiritual business that runs a training school, or a business with a passion for sharing knowledge.
The Caregiver Brand
My most dominant brand archetype is the nurturer also known as the caregiver brand. This archetype is very heart-driven, motivated by service the mother-type figure, supporter, helper, and healer. This brand can find it challenging to run a business because they are often very altruistic, known as lives over givers motivated by service to others before service to self. They are usually life’s empaths and sensitives
Interestingly most of the work I naturally attracted for years through referrals was teaching holistic well-being and stress management to the charity, health, and education sector. My greatest skill in this field was empowering and supporting people of all ages especially the more vulnerable. I worked with children and teenagers in various capacities. I supported and taught self-care and empowerment skills to the ill, disabled, and carers. A combination of the nurturer and my own experiences living with chronic and serious health challenges from a young age.
Typical caregiver brands are healers, counsellors, and therapists, and many work with babies and young children.
The Explorer Brand
The Explorer brand is also known as the Seeker brand, spiritual seeker brand archetypes are often the spiritual business owner who loves adventure and exploration of all things spiritual. They are often still on their own spiritual path of discovery. Are often not too committed to one sort of teaching, one way of doing things, and their greatest gift is their ability to help their audience try out new things. So they are more spiritual adventurers, spiritual explorers, a spiritual guides than a mentor or teacher. Many spiritual explorer brands run spiritual retreats, adventure holidays, run spiritual development courses for beginners and intermediate level, where students get to try out and explore different ways of connecting to themself and the universe.
The Ruler Brand
The ruler brand is also known as the royalty brand, the queen brand, leader brand archetype. Behind the ruler brand archetype is a strong leader, a strong influencer who has the ability to help lead others to success. Many ruler brand archetypes are spiritual business coaches, money coaches, or the law of attraction teachers. They are already successful in their own right and are here to help others achieve success and growth. There are not a lot of spiritual ruler brands as it takes a high level of spiritual discernment to be a true spiritual leader that can lead from a truly spiritual place.
The Innocent Brand
The Innocent brand also known as the purist brand, or idealist brand is all about keeping things optimistic and simple. Behind many innocent brands is the innocent archetype who is the dreamer, a bit of Polly Anna, who likes to keep life and business positive and simple. Many innocent brand examples include children’s meditation, organic and natural foods, skin care products, declutter coaches, and Feng Shui teachers. The more enlightened innocent brand would be for example meditation temples and schools run by true masters, for example, Buddhist monks or Buddhist masters who have dedicated a lifetime to the simple monastic lifestyle.
Other archetype brand examples include the Orphan Brand, Jester Brand, Lover Brand, Hero Brand, and Rebel Brand. Check out more about what are the main 12 brand archetypes
Why I Love Working With Brand Archetypes
I LOVE helping healers, therapists and coaches create their own unique archetypal brand.
Create a brand that represents their soul essence and their unique business offerings. Because proper archetypal work helps a business and person unveil their greatest gifts and strengths.
Often your most magical gifts are those you are hiding, not owning, or are afraid of. And that is why I love using archetypes in my business and marketing mentoring and archetypal healing sessions.
Helping You Unlock Your Brands Super Powers
I LOVE helping dedicated healers like you start to see and own your magic. I love to make marketing in your business more fun, more engaging, and more YOU.
Something really magical happens when you help a lightworker really see and own their superpowers. and put their archetypal brand into action. Too many healers, and coaches fail to see their own beautiful gifts they spend too much time focusing on other healers’ and coaches’ success. Which can lead to all sorts of sabotaging behaviors in a spiritual business. Believe me, when you start to really see your own greatest strengths things can get so much easier in your business.
