Introducing David Rabone, Scotland’s Soul Healer
Hi David, Thank you for taking part in the new Business Spirit- Interview Blog for Therapist of The Week
Now David is actually a very good friend of mine and has actually been one of my biggest teachers and mentor’s over the last 4 years. I can honestly say he is one of the most powerful healers I have ever met and I know a lot of healers. I know why he was named as The Soul Healer one of the reasons I asked David to be my first blog interviewee.
So for those of you reading this blog who don’t know who you are and what you do, can you tell me a little bit more about what you offer David ?
Hi Eileen. I offer spiritual coaching/mentoring/healing. Having been trained in many modalities over the past 18 years, I have come to a place in my life where these modalities have dissolved into a space of Stillness. This was pretty frightening, as all structures of working fell away, leaving me feeling vulnerable and insecure in my work. But what I came to realise is that, ultimately, all techniques, modalities, teachings, etc point to this Presence of Being, this deep awareness of something so mysterious and powerful, the Stillness that I was referring to.
So what do I offer in my work? I hold a space of Stillness, so that whoever works with me entrains to that presence. By doing this, their mind quietens, they access their own inner power, gifts, abilities, self-healing and resources. What I have come to know is that each of us has everything we could ever need, within us, waiting to be discovered. My way of working is to help facilitate that journey of Self discovery and awakening. I don’t teach technique.
I can do this in a coaching, or healing context.
So David can you tell me about what motivated you into this work, can you share part of your own personal story?
I started my healing journey in 1998, by studying Reiki and Seichem. I was living in London at the time, partying, making unhealthy life choices. One day I woke up and decided that it was time to start healing. Within a couple of years I started training with a Spiritual Master called Aiping Wang, whilst still living in London. This was 2001. The training that followed over the next few years blew my mind. It was challenging beyond belief, but I knew that I was sitting in the presence of such a powerful healer and teacher, and I knew that teaching and healing were also my calling. By 2003 though, I had fallen really ill, and by 2005, I had to come home to stay with my family in Scotland. Over the next seven years, I trained in many modalities, and my own personal healing journey seemed to transform into a journey of awakening. I guess it always was about awakening. The healing aspect was just the catalyst pushing me forward.
So can you give me a little bit more information on your training, your experience as I know like me you trained in a lot of different modalities.
As stated above, Eileen, I started my healing path in 1998, an inner urging exploding from deep within, like an alarm bell ringing telling me it was time to wake up. I started with Reiki and Seichem, and then found my way to Aiping in 2001, where I was trained for four years. I then came home, and started my twice yearly pilgrimages to Brazil see John of God, the miracle healer. I visited him 8 times in total. In between all these visits, I trained in NLP, and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching and Theta Healing. In 2009, I met Damien Wynne, a wonderful healer from Ireland, who introduced me to his technique, Light Grids. This was the start of a four year journey, a wonderful experience that I am very grateful for. I met many wonderful people, travelling to Europe frequently to train with Damien. Then in 2013, I decided to pull back from that, to find my own way. In the summer of 2013, I had an awakening experience that shook me from the depths of my soul. All the stillness work, concepts and ideas I had read from the likes of The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, and the direct teaching of Aiping Wang were now my own personal experiences. They weren’t foreign concepts written by someone else. This was the beginning of my own personal awareness of the Stillness of Being. Of course, this awareness came and went, but it left an indelible roadmap so that I can easily find my way back. All healing, transformation, power and knowing comes from that Silent Still Place within.
On the other side of my life, I have been a Pharmacist for almost 23 years. This medical training, my own personal healing journey and my spiritual healing training have given me a lot, a mixture of science and spirituality, with the personal perspective of someone who has been to the edge of life and death (sorry for the melodrama) 🙂
If you had one piece of advice to say to our readers what would that be?
Ok, I’m going to borrow from the Bible here. ~ BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.
I don’t think there is anything more powerful. What a message.
As you can see I have studied a lot of techniques and modalities, and have spent time with the most amazing healers and masters. All that teaching pointed to one thing…. GO INSIDE and become intimately aware of your own Still Power. This is where the answers are, this is where the healing is, this is where the transformation appears from. Stop searching outside of yourself for the answers to your perceived problems. Give up self-development and become Self-aware. You have the power to transform and heal, but it will always spring forth from your STILLNESS, your Presence of Being…
Another great piece of advice given to me, which I will share with you, is this. Just lighten up, face life and have fun…
So what are you presently offering David and how can my readers get in touch with The Soul Healer?
I am going through a rebranding at the moment, and tweaking things, so in this hiatus I would like to offer half price healing sessions, over the phone or on Skype. Or if you would like to discuss coaching, learning to manifest from Stillness, then I will be around for short, FREE intro consults.
